Successful conclusion of Velo-city 2022
The 29th Velo-city 2022 cycling conference concluded in Ljubljana on Friday, 17 June 2022. The flag of the conference was passed on to the next host, the city of Leipzig.
At the conclusion of the conference, Mayor Zoran Janković thanked the entire team, which prepared the great conference, and invited visitors to keep returning to Ljubljana, for him the most beautiful city in the world and a city where different people live together with mutual respect.
On the occasion, he presented the flag of the Velo-city conference to Deputy Mayor of Leipzig, Thomas Dienberg, where the next conference will take place in May next year. At the end of the conference, the CEO of the European Cyclists' Federation, Jill Warren, thanked Mayor Zoran Janković and Ljubljana for the great experience and expressed her enthusiasm for Ljubljana.
The world's largest cycling meeting was attended by around 1,300 participants, who listened to seven plenary sessions and over 60 parallel sessions, with about 350 speakers.
