The open-air film season is starting. From 9 June to 10 July, we invite you to the Kinodvorišče summer cinema in the Kinodvor city cinema every evening at 21:30.

The Kinodvorišče summer cinema opens its doors on Thursday, 9 June, with the premiere of the film Luzzu (Alex Camilleri, 2021), organised by the Kinodvor city cinema in cooperation with the Kino Otok – Isola Cinema International Film Festival. The Maltese-American director’s debut is a universal tale of a little man trying to survive, torn between tradition and the demands of the present.

In good weather, viewers will watch the evening screening in the open-air atrium of the Slovenian Railways (the entrance is through the Kinodvor Hall). In bad weather, the screening starts at the same time in the Kinodvor Hall.

In addition to Kinodvorišče, there is also Film under the Stars and the Open-Air Cinema Kinodvor on Congress Square. Until the end of the summer, we will be able to watch films in open-air cinemas in three different time periods. From 14 July to 6 August, the summer cinema Film under the Stars will be held in the Ljubljana Castle courtyard, organised by the Kinodvor city cinema in cooperation with the Ljubljana Castle.

Evening screenings will return to Kinodvorišče between 9 and 20 August, and the open-air film summer will conclude between 22 and 25 August with admission-free screenings of the Open‑Air Cinema Kinodvor on Congress Square.
