On Tuesday, 1 July 2014, the mighty Carmina Burana under the baton of Uroš Lajovic and performed by over 300 musicians announced the beginning of the 62nd Ljubljana Festival at the picturesque Congress Square in Ljubljana.

One of the highlights of the evening was the finish of the last, most widely recognised sentence with the fireworks from the Ljubljana Castle.
