At the ceremony My Country ­– Beautiful and Hospitable 2018 we received the award for the most orderly city centre.

We have received the recognition, awarded by the Slovenian Tourist Association, for the renovation of the Gallus Embankment project within the scope of which we have closed up the area for car traffic, repaved it, renovated the public lighting and the gas network, and we have also set up new access to the river boat stop.

About the campaign

The campaign My Country ­– Beautiful and Hospitable evaluates the orderliness of Slovenian settlements and their tourist services. With it the Slovenian Tourist Association, which has been organising the competition for many decades, is promoting environmental management and preservation within the framework of green tourism and sustainable development.
