The Building Bridges Conference is organised every 5 years, and this year it was held on 7 March 2014. The City of Ljubljana was presented as an example of good practice in the area. The Ljubljana Castle hosted the EGLSF General Assembly on 8 and 9 March.
The conference participants were welcomed by Mayor Zoran Janković on 7 March 2014 at the City Museum of Ljubljana. A rainbow flag was hung at the City Hall on that day.

The slogan of the organisation is "fair play, tolerance and safety in sports for everyone" and its largest cause is the fight against discrimination in sport on grounds of sexual preference and gender identity in sports.
