In mid-July 2022, we started construction in the Economic and Business Zone Zalog, where we will build traffic surfaces with public economic infrastructure and connect them to the street Industrial Road.

We will equip the zone with all the necessary infrastructure for the construction of office buildings, which will be aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial environment of small and medium-sized companies. We will set up the road's drainage, water supply and sewerage network for municipal wastewater, gas pipeline, electricity, telecommunications network and street lighting.

Development of entrepreneurship and public infrastructure

In this area, with the aim of strengthening entrepreneurship and providing the entrepreneurial support environment, we will ensure the full utilization of all the potential in the economic zone and thereby contribute to the faster development of the economy at the municipal and regional levels. With the provision of community infrastructure in this zone, we will provide an additional 2.7 ha of areas for business and economic use on spatially suitable land.

The design of the Economic and Business Zone Zalog is part of the operation titled »Economic and Business zone Zalog with the Industrial Road«, which falls under the Priority Investment 3.1 Encouraging Entrepreneurship, supportive environment for entrepreneurship and business infrastructure, which is partially financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.

The works, which are expected to continue until the end of June 2023, will be carried out by the company Trgograd d.o.o.. The total investment of the operation will amount to around 5 million EUR, excluding VAT (of which the value of the works within the construction of the Industrial Road amounts to 3.1 million EUR, excluding VAT), with the share of co-financing amounting to 3,440,767.81 EUR, excluding VAT.
