The summer cavaliers are back in town
Two open (summer) Kavalirs, the electric transport vehicles, have started operating on Saturday, 29 March 2014 in the city's centre and the area restricted for motor traffic. The closed Kavalir will continue its regular route. The rides are free of charge.
The sixth consecutive season of summer (open) Kavalirs is made possible by the Ljubljana Public Transport (Ljubljanski potniški promet) public company with the support of City of Ljubljana and Ljubljana Tourism.
Once again this summer, the three environmentally friendly Kavalirs will transport residents and visitors to the city, and mostly elderly and people with impairments.
The winter Kavalir was introduced along the two summer vehicles last year and it will return to its regular route from the Kongresni Trg, via Gosposka and Wolfova Ulica to Tromostovje, continuing through the Stritarjeva Ulica past the City Hall and Ciril-Metodov Trg to Krekov Trg.
The summer Kavalirs do not follow a route or meet scheduled stops and are guided on call by the passengers themselves. They can be hailed during the ride, due to their slow speed.
The Kavalir vehicles are available every day of the week from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. The rides are free of charge and can be requested on 00386/31-666-331 or 00386/31-666-332.
Only the closed vehicle operates in case of rain.
