The tritonis case

The Higher Court in Ljubljana adopted the decision that Zoran Janković has not been involved in criminal activity in the Tritonis case. No court appeal is admissible against the decision of the Higher Court, therefore the case has finally concluded.

A Specialized Public Prosecutor’s Office filed a request for an investigation to be conducted against Zoran Janković, Nataša Turšič and Rajko Srednik in the Tritonis case. They had been accused of the offense of fraud which all three of them denied all the time.

After the hearing, the investigating judge of the District Court in Ljubljana did not agree with the introduction of the investigation because she estimated that there are no reasonable grounds for suspicion that the aforementioned committed the alleged offense. Senate of the District Court in Ljubljana has passed the decision that the investigation be introduced but the defenders appealed against this decision to the Higher Court in Ljubljana.

At the Senate’s panel session on 12 November 2014 (we were informed of the decision on 11 December 2014) the Higher Court in Ljubljana concluded that the request of the Specialized Public Prosecutor’s Office for investigation against all three of the aforementioned is rejected because there exist no reasonable grounds for suspicion that the accused committed any offense.

No court appeal is admissible against the decision of the Higher Court so that the case has finally concluded. After a long legal demonstrating of evidence it has become clear that Zoran Janković did not commit any offense.
