The University of Ljubljana is 81st globally and in 13th place in Europe in research carried out by the Webometrics website which analysed over 15,000 universities.

In an international league table of universities worldwide, the University of Ljubljana is Slovenia’s best university, is 81st globally, in 13th place in Europe, and ranked first among the universities of central and eastern Europe. In comparison with last year’s data on the same website, the University of Ljubljana has gone up 126 places.

Research by the Webometrics website analysed over 15,000 universities, of which 5,000 were then ranked. The evaluations were first and foremost web presence, the activities and visibility of the universities, followed by other indicators of their importance and prestige.
