Thirty trees for a better tomorrow
On Friday 15 June, Ljubljana Technology Park staff, members of the business community and PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovenia staff planted 30 young trees on a lawn at Ljubljana Technology Park.
Ljubljana Technology Park businesses and international consultancy firm in the auditing and tax services field PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovenia have joined forces in the belief that actions today create conditions for a better tomorrow and generations to come. Thus it was decided that on PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovenia’s Social Responsibility Day, we would get together to plant 30 saplings on a lawn at Ljubljana Technology Park.
Mayor Zoran Janković supported the two firms’ initiative, as the City of Ljubljana is working hard to conserve the city’s green space and thus far more than 4,000 new trees have been planted across Ljubljana.
In his introductory address to Friday’s event, CEO of Ljubljana Technology Park Iztok Lesjak MSc stressed that “Planting 30 saplings not only contributes to a greener working environment for Ljubljana Technology Park community members, but also symbolically marks its mission, which is to stimulate young innovative start-up firms”.
