URBforDAN for the development of urban forests
The URBforDAN project is writing a new chapter in the field of developing and managing urban forests in the Danube Region. It includes seven Danube cities and highlights the significance of urban and peri-urban forests. It is committed to the sustainable use of natural resources, to a better utilisation of forest space and improvement of the overall experience of urban forest visitors.
During the running period of the project from June 2018 to November 2020, Ljubljana has placed the urban forest Golovec under protection and is introducing different measures to adapt it to its users.
