Mayor Zoran Janković has been on an official visit to Berlin, where he met with Michael Müller, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, on 24 April 2015.

This was the first official visit of mayor of Ljubljana to Berlin. The Mayors have exchanged experience on managing the two cities, and Mayor Zoran Janković introduced the awards Ljubljana is proud of – the prestigious title of the European Green Capital 2016; the Tourism for Tomorrow Award, which places Ljubljana first among the sustainable future destinations, and the European Mobility Week Award, Ljubljana being the only city to have received it twice.

Mayor Zoran Janković signed the guest book upon this occasion, and added how Berlin is a remarkably beautiful city and how excited he is on the collaboration of the two cities in the future. The Mayor and the delegation continued by visiting the Innovation Centre for Mobility and Societal Change and Technology Park Berlin Adlershof.

The Slovenian Embassy in Berlin simultaneously introduced the new regular airline route by Adria Airways between Ljubljana and Berlin. Mayor took this opportunity to invite the citizens of Berlin to Ljubljana, the most beautiful city in the world.
