Mayor Zoran Janković and his delegation left for an official visit to Moscow to meet the Mayor of the City of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin on 9 June 2015.

The Mayors have signed the Collaboration Programme between the Moscow government and the City of Ljubljana in the period of 2015–2017, which emphasises on exchange of experience, knowledge and information in the following areas of city management and economy:
– urban planning and construction;
– development of city infrastructure;
– improvement of city traffic systems;
– improvement of quality in implementation of city social service;
– environment protection;
– education and experience exchange of employees of the both cities.

Based on the signed agreement the two cities will also support collaboration in the areas of science and entrepreneurship; actively develop connections in the field of culture and art, and cooperate in preservation of cultural heritage monuments. The cities will also work together in the area of tourism and sports.
