Mayor Zoran Janković and the City of Ljubljana delegation visited Sarajevo upon invitation of the Mayor of Sarajevo, Dr Ivo Komšić, on 6 and 7 April, 2015.

The Mayor and delegation attended the solemn Sarajevo City Council session, which commemorated the city holiday, Day of Sarajevo, and placed some flowers by the memorial.

Upon this opportunity, he also met with Reis-I-Ulema, Husein Kavazović, to discuss the project of the Islamic cultural centre in Ljubljana and its construction, which was followed by the project presentation.
On the last day of the visit, the mayor and delegation was met by Mayor of Sarajevo, Prof Dr Ivo Komšić and colleagues. They mostly discussed experience in managing the two cities and guaranteeing their citizens quality life. Mayor Zoran Janković has also emphasised the great potential of Sarajevo in the field of tourism.

He was also accepted by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Mladen Ivanić and a member to the Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović.
