The Ljubljana day-care centre Vodmat has received the highest ranking award by the Republic of Slovenia for it extraordinary achievements in preschool education in 2013.

The staff of Vodmat has displayed innovative and quality collaboration and achieved great results in educational approach with various artistic methods to encourage moral sensitivity within the project Cultural Enrichment of the Youngest (Kulturno žlahtnjenje najmlajših).

The reasons for receiving the award for extraordinary achievements in preschool education given out by the Ministry of Education and Sports:
For professional and expert management of the day-care centre with in the Cultural Enrichment of the Youngest (Kulturno žlahtnjenje najmlajših) project. The staff of experts has been working closely with professionals to understand the theoretical concepts of the project and pursue to implement them into the everyday pedagogical interaction with the youngest. They have been searching for appropriate tools of expression for the child to express the impressions of the surroundings and themselves by a constant critical awareness of their role as a teacher, child's abilities and the importance of their responses. Art has been vital to this process as a tool of expression, experience, observation and exchange of views.
The two-year project aimed to connect the development of the child's pro-sociality and morality by the principles of the wholesome inductive educational approach with the help of various artistic methods to encourage the moral sensitivity. The staff has contributed to the empirical section of this important research of child's pro-social and moral development by a systematic observation of external staff and personal analysis.

Vodmat has continued to implement its vast experience and working results despite the on-going project in the area of quality. It has been expanding its attributes in different expert events and expert public home and abroad to additionally enrich the quality system of preschool education in Slovenia.
