We have already planted almost 1,000 trees this year

In the autumn, we planted 431 trees in the public green areas of the City of Ljubljana, maintained by the public company Voka Snaga.

We mainly replaced missing stands in existing avenues and parks. We planted 54 trees in our largest city park, Tivoli, and we also revamped the design of the avenue at Kodeljevo Castle (15 trees), which leads from Koblarjeva ulica towards the castle. We planted the remaining trees in various locations around the city, where we had previously had to remove weakened, damaged or diseased trees for safety reasons.

In addition, we are continuing the tree transplanting on Linhartova cesta as part of the comprehensive reconstruction of the area. Approximately 40 trees will be transplanted from the existing avenue between Matjaževa ulica and the Žale roundabout to Šmartinski park and the URI Soča area, similar to what we successfully carried out in February last year. The works, carried out by KPL d.o.o., are already underway and are expected to be completed in the next two weeks.

From 1. January 2024 to today, we have removed 638 trees, and in the same period, planted 968 new ones.
