We presented the Rožanc Awards 2021

On Tuesday, 30 November 2021, in the City Hall, we presented the Marjan Rožanac Awards, the highest recognition of the City of Ljubljana in the field of sports.

Maruša Mišmaš Zrimšek received the Rožanc Award for Outstanding Sports Achievements. For several years now, Maruša Mišmaš Zrimšek has been one of the world's top athletes in the discipline  3000 m steeplechase. In the summer of 2021, she twice set a new national record in the 3000 m steeplechase, the last at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She won the top sixth place in the most vigorous world competition with a fantastic run.

Awards for their long-term work in the professional and organizational field were presented to Primož Kališnik, Stevan Paspalj and Dr. Marta Bon.

The Marjan Rožanec Award is the highest recognition of the City of Ljubljana in the field of sports, which can be presented to amateur sports workers, athletes, sports pedagogues, professional sports workers and sports journalists for outstanding sports achievements in the past year or for successful work over a longer period of time.
