On Wednesday, 14 June 2023, in the city cinema Kinodvor, we presented the Župančič Awards, the highest recognitions of the City of Ljubljana for outstanding creations in the field of art and culture.

The Župančič Lifetime Achievement Award went to graphic designer Ranko Novak. He received the award for his extensive oeuvre spanning over more than five decades, with which he left a radical, long-term and broad mark on the Slovenian and international cultural space.

The Župančič Awards for 2023 were also presented to theatre and film actress and member of the acting ensemble of the Ljubljana City Theatre Ajda Smrekar, film director, screenwriter and editor Urška Djukić and writer Dušan Šarotar.
