As part of events surrounding World Health Day, on Monday 8 April 2013, Prešeren Square in central Ljubljana was the venue of free-of-charge professional health counselling and the measurement of blood pressure and pulse rate.
The activities that took place in Prešeren Square to mark World Health Day were organised by the City of Ljubljana in partnership with the Slovenian Heart Foundation (Društvo za zdravje srca in ožilja Slovenije).
Alongside the professional counselling and the measurement of blood pressure and heart rate, there were demonstrations of the correct resuscitation procedure following a heart attack and professional medical advice, and passers-by also received a copy of ‘For the Heart’ magazine and a brochure on blood pressure, heartbeat and a healthy lifestyle.
