Ljubljana hosted numerous renowned international guests
Even though worldwide, Ljubljana is a small capital when it comes to its surface area and population, it attracts renowned international guests, whose visits are marked with a solemn entry into the Golden book.
Since 2007, Ljubljana has hosted official visits of more then a hundred top representatives of states and capitals, leaders of the most prominent international
organisations, and the most influential personalities, among others Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II, Norwegian king Harald V and queen Sonja, Russian president Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the British royal couple prince Edward with his spouse Sophie, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, president of UEFA Aleksander Čeferin and others.
