The City of Ljubljana manages multiple exhibition spaces, where artists are enabled to display and showcase their works of art.
Kresija Gallery
Kresija Gallery, the most representative of the City of Ljubljana’s exhibition spaces, is set in the very heart of the city at Stritarjeva ulica 6 in Ljubljana.
A characteristic of the gallery is its transparency, which, due to its numerous windows allows communication of the internal, exhibitional and spatial with the street. It is a kind of showcase of urban events. Its location and diversity of artistic and cultural activities are ever-increasingly painting and simultaneously shaping the cultural map of the Slovenian capital.
The gallery’s activities, like all of the City of Ljubljana’s exhibition spaces, are oriented towards showcasing the City of Ljubljana’s projects and towards organising high-quality monographic and group exhibitions by Slovene artists as well as exhibitions in the context of international and inter-city partnership. The gallery has a surface area of 94.41 m2, while it measures 15.7 x 5.9 metres.
City Hall
The exhibition spaces at City Hall, Mestni trg 1, Ljubljana comprise: the Glass Atrium, the Historical Atrium, the Central and Right Atriums.
The primary purpose of the exhibition space is to showcase City of Ljubljana projects as well as other projects that are of importance in Ljubljana, the organisation of exhibitions in the context of international and inter-city partnership, as well as the organisation of monographic and group exhibitions of already established and amateur artists.
