Outstanding natural science achievements of Ljubljana's students and pupils
The student team from Ljubljana won a bronze medal and recognition at the International Olympiad of Metropolises in Moscow, and adding to the success, Domen Lisjak won a silver medal and Samo Krejan a bronze medal in physics. At the International Junior Science Olympiad in Dubai, Martin Alojz Flisar from the Maks Pečar National Hero Elementary School won a silver medal.

Ljubljana. Accessible to all.
At the December session of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, the councillors adopted an action plan titled Ljubljana. Accessible to all. which serves as the basis for further improving the accessibility of the city for people with disabilities and the elderly in the period up to 2025.

EPSA recognitions for three of Ljubljana's projects
At the competition EPSA 2021 (European Public Sector Awards), which aims to promote innovative, digital and green public administration, three projects of the City of Ljubljana received awards.

Ramps increasing accessibility in the city for all
In Ljubljana, we are continuing the pilot project of setting up ramps to facilitate access for the elderly, physically impaired persons and families with baby strollers to shops and places of business in the old city centre, which the City of Ljubljana owns.

Paint the World! wins at the Climathon Ljubljana
In the hackathon Climathon Ljubljana 2021, held between 29 November and 2 December 2021, 6 groups took part, looking for ideas and solutions to encourage the residents of Ljubljana to improve waste management and co-create a zero-waste city.

European award for the Green Penguin project
The Green Penguin environmental project, in which we are also taking part in the City of Ljubljana, received the European Entrepreneurship Award in the category of sustainable transition support.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities
3 December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which aims to promote understanding, support for the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disabilities and raise awareness on the benefits of their integration into all aspects of political, social, economic and cultural life.

We presented the Rožanc Awards 2021
On Tuesday, 30 November 2021, in the City Hall, we presented the Marjan Rožanac Awards, the highest recognition of the City of Ljubljana in the field of sports.

The Tree of the Year 2021 is the Caucasian wingnut
On 28 November, the day when we celebrate the efforts of people who care for trees in cities, we announced the Tree of the Year 2021 in Ljubljana. In the run for the title, the Caucasian wingnut, growing at the intersection of the streets Linhartova ulica, Knobleharjeva ulica and Fabianijeva ulica, won among 32 candidates.
