Anita Ogulin, a great humanitarian and an Honorary Citizen of Ljubljana, who dedicated all her life to helping others, especially children, passed away. We said goodbye to Anita Ogulin at the City Council of the City of Ljubljana commemoration session.

Nature in Ljubljana at Night photo competition
We invite you to participate in the Nature in Ljubljana at Night photo competition, which aims to show animals and plants in Ljubljana through photography and thus contribute to raising awareness of the richness of nature in our city. The international 4 Cities Tournament this year in Budapest
Young athletes from Ljubljana are again participating in the traditional 4 Cities Tournament, which is taking place in Budapest this year. Around 400 athletes aged 16 and under are taking part.

Film under the Stars again in the courtyard of the Ljubljana Castle
This summer in Ljubljana will also be marked by screenings of blockbusters in the courtyard of the Ljubljana Castle under starry skies. The Film under the Stars lifts the curtain on Thursday, 11 July 2024, with the film Autumn Leaves.

Involving the public in the drafting of the new Integrated Transport Strategy
The City of Ljubljana is committed to the current Integrated Transport Strategy (ITS) with objectives set until 2027, adopted by the City Council of the City of Ljubljana in 2017.

Ljubljana Passenger Transport summer novelties
From 26 June to 31 August 2024, buses will run on summer timetables, and line 10 will be extended to Tuji Grm. During holidays, on-demand transport will be introduced on lines 26 and 10. On Saturdays, line 11 B will be replaced by line 20 Z and line 18 by line 18 L. The special direct line P+R Barje–Hrvatski trg will be cancelled. As of 1 July 2024, the ticket prices in zones 2 and 3 will be adjusted to the current integrated public passenger transport price list.

The American media company The New York Times has written that Ljubljana is a model for sustainability for other cities. It showcased the culinary, cultural and experiential beauty of Slovenia's capital, which they say is the centre of culinary innovation in Europe.

United Buddy Bears exhibition with a charitable note
As part of the exhibition UNITED BUDDY BEARS, The Art of Tolerance, there will also be an auction of the Slovenian bear, which was part of the exhibition until this year, when it has been replaced by a new one.
