Co-operation Agreement between the Government and the City of Ljubljana

Highest Awards of the City of Ljubljana
On 9 May 2015, the City Holiday, Mayor Zoran Janković presented the highest recognitions of the City of Ljubljana at the Ljubljana Castle. The academic painter and illustrator Jelka Reichman and the poet, translator, politician, partisan and academic Ciril Zlobec were declared Honorary Citizens.

Ljubljana Celebrates
On 7 May 2016, on the occasion of the City Holiday of Ljubljana, the new section of the Dolomitski odred Street and the renovated south part of the Slovenska Street were opened for traffic. In addition, 30 new environmentally friendly city buses have been introduced.

Zalog Centre
On 9 May 2016, the new contemporary Zalog Centre opened its doors in Zalog with facilities for the local community and a Spar supermarket. The centre is the result of a public-private partnership between the City of Ljubljana and SPAR Slovenia.
