Ljubljana City Holiday
Ljubljana, the City of Heroes, marks the city holiday, Victory Day, on 9 May. Every year, we celebrate the holiday with a formal sitting of the City Council of the City of Ljubljana, at which we present the highest recognitions of the City of Ljubljana: the titles of Honorary Citizens as well as the Awards and Plaques of the City of Ljubljana.

The Ljubljana Festival is celebrating its anniversary
The Ljubljana Festival is celebrating 70 years. As one of the oldest international festivals of this scope, it makes an important contribution to the summer cultural events in Ljubljana every year with its carefully selected and genre-diverse program. This year the festival will take place between 21 June and 8 September.

Ljubljana received the international recognition City of Trees for the third time already
In Ljubljana, we are continuously taking care of our trees, as we are aware of their importance for the city, the society and individuals. Our efforts are also recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which have awarded Ljubljana the title Tree City for the third consecutive year within the framework of the Tree Cities of the World program.

New, state-of-the-art laboratory system at the Community Health Centre Ljubljana
A new automated laboratory system for the analysis of blood samples was presented at the Community Health Centre Ljubljana. It is a high-performance and technologically most advanced system in primary health care in Slovenia.

The Urban train switching to the summer timetable
From 1 April 2022, the Urban electric tourist train will run according to the summer timetable. The new ticket price list will also come into force on the same day.
