Renovation of the zalog centre
On 10 April 2014, Spar Slovenija and the City of Ljubljana signed the public-private partnership to renovate the facility in Zalog. The renovation represents an important development potential that will also introduce new activities to this eastern part of Ljubljana by 2015.

The Kresija Gallery in the centre of Ljubljana is hosting an exhibition titled "Cukrarna, From Sugar Factory to Culture Factory" on 21 May 2014 to present the Cukrarna revitalisation project by the Scapelab architectural bureau.

Autism awareness
On 2 April, the World Autism Awareness Day, Ljubljana joined the Light It Up Blue international initiative. The Ljubljana Castle and the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje) were illuminated in blue from midnight to 7 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to midnight that day.

Ljubljana – 2016 european green capital finalist
The City of Ljubljana has been selected a finalist for the title of 2016 European Green Capital. This is a second consecutive qualification into the final for the City of Ljubljana.
