Fish sculpture on Gallus Embankment
On the renovated Gallus Embankment the Fish sculpture is now erected bringing together the refurbished embankment of the Ljubljanica River.

CHAIRity – they got a new lease on life
On Monday, 5 February 2018, at the City Hall, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted the children from Ljubljana’s primary schools who took part in workshops renovating old chairs for the CHAIRity project.

Information point Rogač

EUROCITIES Conference, Best Event in 2017
On 24 January 2018 the City of Ljubljana received the Conventa Best Event Award 2017 for organising the EUROCITIES Conference. The day before Ljubljana also received the Meeting Star Award.

Ljubljana, host of the European Futsal Championship
From 30 January to 10 February 2018, the European Futsal Championship is held in Ljubljana with the sports hall Stočice as the venue for the matches.

Another record year for Ljubljana Castle
In 2017, the Ljubljana Castle again registered a record number of visitors – there were as many as 1,373,319, and the funicular exceeded the 500,000 passengers per year mark for the first time.

Renovated Pionirski dom premises
On Wednesday, 17 January 2017, the refurbished villa at the address Komenskega 9 opened its doors to renovated premises where the young and the less young can continue creating within the scope of the Centre for Youth Culture Pionirski dom.
