Presenting the 66th Ljubljana Festival
This year the cultural summer in Ljubljana is going to be marked by the 66th Ljubljana Festival, held from 28 June till 3 September 2018. It is traditionally opening on Congress Square with the world premiere of the musical scenic performance Sfera Mundi – Voyage around the World.

First self-service bulk product vending machine Bert
On the premises of the Reuse Centre, at Povšetova 4, the first self-service bulk product vending machine Bert has been set up. The vending machine operates from Tuesday to Saturday between 9.00 and 17.00.

Opening of the exhibition: Unused Potentials of Invasive Alien Plant Species
Removed invasive alien plants in Slovenia are currently composted or incinerated, but in the pilot project of processing Japanese knotweed into paper at the semi-industrial level, we have already demonstrated that these plants can be used for other purposes as well.

In Ljubljana, at Prisojna ulica 7, LL Viva has opened its doors, the first specialized store for medical devices, non-prescription medicine and other products for maintaining health and well-being.

Signed contract for the Clean for You project co-financing
On 3 April 2018, Mayor Zoran Janković, Minister of the Environment and Spatial planning Irena Majcen and Mayors of the Municipality of Medvode and the Municipality of Vodice Nejc Smole and Aco Franc Šuštar signed the contract on co-financing the cohesion project Wastewater Drainage and Treatment of the Ljubljansko polje Aquifer Area – Clean for You.

World Autism Awareness Day
On 2 April, World Autism Awareness Day, Ljubljana joined the international initiative »Light it up Blue« and lit up the Ljubljana Castle blue.

Earth Hour 2018
Again this year, Ljubljana joined the international environmental initiative Earth Hour, and so we turned off the exterior lighting on some buildings for an hour on Saturday, 24 March 2018.

Known Best Apartment Building in Ljubljana 2017
At the start of the traditional campaign For a More Beautiful Ljubljana, on Thursday, 22 March 2018, the Best Apartment Building in Ljubljana in 2017 was announced. The tile was awarded to the apartment building on Smoletova ulica 12, 12a and 12b.
