The 62nd ljubljana festival has begun
On Tuesday, 1 July 2014, the mighty Carmina Burana under the baton of Uroš Lajovic and performed by over 300 musicians announced the beginning of the 62nd Ljubljana Festival at the picturesque Congress Square in Ljubljana.

"Remains of a City in the summer" exhibition

Mladinsko receives excellent reviews
The Mladinsko Theatre was successfully hosted at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Romania. Excellent response of the public at one of the greatest European festivals was accompanied by an excellent review in the British newspaper Guardian.

Ljubljana – european green capital 2016
The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, has won the European Green Capital Award for 2016. Ljubljana received recognition for raising environmental awareness amongst its citizens, for its sustainability strategy 'Vision 2025', its implementation of a range of urban green measures over the past decade and its impressive transportation network.

Drinking fountains in ljubljana
We invite you to freshen up with Ljubljana's potable water fountains from Ljubljana's water distribution system in these scorching days. There are currently 22 drinking fountains in Ljubljana. The fountains are functional in the spring and summer months, and are connected to Ljubljana's central water distribution system.
