Cooperation Agreement between Ljubljana and Prague
On 22 January 2016, during an official visit to Prague the Deputy Mayor Prof Janez Koželj and the Mayor of the Municipal District Prague Vladislava Hujova signed an agreement on cultural cooperation between Ljubljana and Prague.

Despite the fact the amending act on marriage and family relations which equates the right of same-sex unions with those of heterosexuals was not confirmed by the referendum, the votes cast in Ljubljana show that in our city we respect differences among us.

European Public Sector Award
The City of Ljubljana is the only municipality in Slovenia to receive the award for best practices at local level for its activities in the LGBT field which is presented by the European Institute of Public Administration within the framework of the European Public Sector Award.
