We have opened a new centre of the District Community Golovec – an open, warm and friendly environment where we can socialize and connect and where every individual will find their place.

The renovated Plečnik Auditorium opened in Tivoli Park
With the opening of the 35th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts, we also opened the renovated Plečnik Auditorium in Tivoli Park. In the clearing behind the Tivoli Castle at the edge of the forest, we installed wooden stands on a steel structure, and in front of them, we designed an area that serves as a stage with a view of the city.

On Friday, 15 September 2023, the 35th Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts opened at the International Centre of Graphic Arts under the title »From the void came gifts of the cosmos«.

European Mobility Week already 22 years in Ljubljana
This is already the 22nd consecutive year that the City of Ljubljana has been participating in the European Mobility Week, the biggest international campaign for the promotion of sustainable mobility, held every year between 16 and 22 September.

The beautiful autumn weather attracted many visitors to the first Ljubljana Sports Festival, where they could discover and choose a sports discipline that suits them most.

The Mobile Library has a new Bibliobus
We presented a new vehicle of the Mobile Library of the Ljubljana City Library, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in operation next year, with books travelling as many as 500,000 kilometres during this time. We donated the old Bibliobus, which had been in use for 16 years, to the Rijeka City Library.

Ljubljana gained a new thematic route – The Path among the Alders
A new 3-kilometre thematic route has come to life at Rakova jelša – The Path among the Alders, leading visitors through a mosaic of meadows, fields, hedges and trenches.

Technology Park Ljubljana at the forefront of European technology parks
Dr. Jernej Pintar, Director of the Technology Park Ljubljana, was elected President of the European Division of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP). Technology parks from all over Europe have chosen Ljubljana mainly because of the significant engagement of the Technology Park Ljubljana on a global level, establishing its reputation among much larger cities.
