Automated speed measuring devices for traffic safety
We are expending the traffic speed monitoring system in Ljubljana with two new housings which are going to alternately hold two automated speed measuring devices already used at existing locations.

Autism awareness
On 2 April, the World Autism Awareness Day, Ljubljana joined the Light It Up Blue international initiative. The Ljubljana Castle and the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje) were illuminated in blue from midnight to 7 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to midnight that day.

A unique archaeological find from ljubljana marshes
A wooden spear point dating to the Early Stone Age has been found by underwater archaeologists of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia in the Ljubljanica river near the village of Sinja Gorica at Ljubljana Marshes.

August, the Month of Sustainable Tourism
Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016, has entered the eighth month of the green year, which is thematically devoted to sustainable tourism. The free programme at the information point Point.For you. in front of the City Hall will be coordinated by Ljubljana Tourism, but activities will also take place in this month green ambassador city districts of Rožnik, Šentvid and Bežigrad.
