Urban is running again
After the winter break the electric train Urban is running again on its circular route connecting Ljubljana’s landmarks. Urban connects main city landmarks from the City Hall to the Ljubljana Castle, the Špica waterfront leading to the Botanic Gardens, Trnovo wharf, Plečnik House in Krakovo, the Roman wall, the Križanke open-air theatre, renovated Slovenska Street, Congress Square, the Parliament and Prešeren Street.

Success of Ljubljana’s pupils
On 2 February 2017 at the City Hall, Mayor Zoran Janković hosted pupils from primary schools Danila Kumar, Dravlje in France Bevk who were successful in international debating competitions in the English language which were held in Thailand and the USA.

Record year for the Ljubljana Castle
In 2016, over one million people visited the Ljubljana Castle; the crossing counters recorded 1,246,737 visitors. The funicular transferred the highest number of passengers in its ten years of operation – 413,111. As many as 596 different events were held on the castle premises.

How to link creative potential with entrepreneurship?
Within the framework of the Regional Centre of Creative Economy, the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RDA LUR) hosted a meeting in Ljubljana for seven partner countries within the CRE:HUB European project which are trying to find an answer to the question how to create policies for the promotion of cultural and creative industries.
