In the park at the Poljanska and Roška Street intersection stands the monument to the town planner and architect Maks Fabiani. The erection of the monument represents the final act of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of his birth.

The man campaign continues
The City of Ljubljana is continuing its socially responsible campaign »Človek, čuvaj svoje mesto« (»Man, take care of your city«). In its focus is calling attention to picking up dog feces and throwing away bubble gum into garbage bins.

The Man, take care of your city campaign continues
The socially responsible campaign Man, take care of your city is continuing its different activities in autumn stressing the significance of respect for our common public space. With a poster campaign we are reacting to prohibited graffiti and with activities in the filed we are raising awareness on the importance of picking up dog waste.

The march – living cultural heritage
On 3 May 2016, the Ministry of Culture entered a new item in the register of living cultural heritage – the March along the Barbed Wire. The entry coincides with this year’s 60th anniversary March which additionally accentuates the significance of this event for Ljubljana, this year’s European Green Capital, as well as for its residents.

The Mobile Library has a new Bibliobus
We presented a new vehicle of the Mobile Library of the Ljubljana City Library, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in operation next year, with books travelling as many as 500,000 kilometres during this time. We donated the old Bibliobus, which had been in use for 16 years, to the Rijeka City Library.

The new cycling yearbook shows the growing trend of bicycle traffic
In addition to numerous infrastructural innovations and improvements for cyclists, Ljubljana introduced this year, when we hosted the largest international cycling conference Velo-city 2022, we also published a new, already fifth cycling yearbook.
