17th five cities tournament
Sunday 1 July 2012 saw the conclusion of the ‘17th Five Cities Tournament – Ljubljana 2012’, organised by the City of Ljubljana, the five cities being Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Ljubljana and Zagreb.

Opening of the ‘second fiddle’ inn
In Stari trg (Old Square), where ‘Pri Pavli’, one of Ljubljana’s favourite inns used to be, a new inn with the symbolic name ‘Druga violina’ or ‘Second Fiddle’ has opened and will operate as part of the Dolfka Boštjančič Training, Occupation and Care Centre, with staff including people with special needs.

Urban public space 2012
From 347 projects submitted from 36 European countries, the City of Ljubljana's project for the 'Refurbishment of the Banks and the Bridges of the River Ljubljanica' has won the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2012.

Reception for the prime minister and speaker of the assembly of tuzla canton
On Tuesday 19 June 2012, Mayor Zoran Janković, held a reception at City Hall for Prime Minister Sead Čaušević and the Speaker of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton Slađan Ilić, who were visiting Ljubljana with a delegation from the canton.

Renewal of the accord between ljubljana and vienna
At City Hall today, Mayor Zoran Janković and the Mayor and Governor of the City of Vienna Dr Michael Häupl signed a renewal of the accord on co-operation between the cities for the next four years.
