For the fourth consecutive year, Ljubljana Tourism is running the »Tourism Makes Ljubljana« campaign to raise awareness among citizens of the positive effects of tourism on the quality of life in the capital city.

Tourists love ljubljana
From January to the end of May 2012, Ljubljana was visited by 9.3% more tourists than in the same period last year, while the number of overnights in the period went up by 8.6%. Given that 2011 was a record year, this is a fantastic result.

Tour of age-friendly louth province
On 3 and 4 July 2014 the town of Dundalk in Ireland held the first workshop of the AFE-INNOVNET project where they presented best practices of the Louth province in the field of age-friendly environments.

Towards circular economy
Circular economy is the main theme of this year’s EUROCITIES international conference which Ljubljana is hosting in November. We are presenting circular economy examples in our city administration, public companies, public institutes or district communities.

Traces of the past under Emonika
The exhibition New Roman Discoveries under Emonika, which presents valuable archaeological finds discovered during the construction of the Emonika complex, will be on display in the Treasury of the Ljubljana City Museum until 1 June 2025.

Traditional cleaning of the ljubljanica and its banks
Saturday 21 April 2012 saw the conclusion of the annual ‘For a More Beautiful Ljubljana 2012’ cleaning campaign with the cleaning drive on the River Ljubljanica.

Ljubljana is taking part in the trans-European preventive campaign Speed Control Marathon, which started on Wednesday, 20 May 2020.

Tree of 2019
On 28 November, a day marking the efforts of people who are taking care of trees in cities, we are presenting the tree of 2019 in Ljubljana. People who took part in a web survey have chosen the sycamore tree on the corner of Streliška Street and Strossmayer Street.
