In 2015 the public holding Javni holding Ljubljana and public companies VOKA SNAGA, Ljubljanski potniški promet, Energetika Ljubljana, Ljubljanska parkirišča in tržnice, and Žale started using the most sustainable hygienic paper (paper towels and toilet paper) on the market made out of recycled composite packaging for milk and juice. Separately collected packaging goes to a packaging company where it is appropriately processed and then to a paper producer, creating a closed loop. Such closed material flow circuit promotes environmental and financial savings. In 2019, joining the good practice are the whole city administration and district communities, 17 public kindergartens, 6 public primary schools, 1 public music school and 10 public institutes.
