How a decommissioned city bus was transformed into a Mobile Youth Centre
The aim of the project was to transform a decommissioned bus into a mobile youth centre. In its new role the bus now serves as a mobile youth centre in »the grey zones of Ljubljana«, in locations lacking space and programmes for the youth (in line with the Strategy of the City of Ljubljana for the Youth 2016–2025). The project was comprised of workshops, mentoring and professional work. And so the story of Ljuba and Drago was created.
The project, now known as »Ljuba and Drago« – mobile youth centre, went from the idea to its actualisation. The youth participating in the project was led and guided by experienced experts in the field of creative industries (design, architecture, communication) and youth work. They were mentoring the youth following the »learning by doing« principle – from the idea to the final execution of the project.
The project is based on the initiative of the public institute Young Dragons in partnership with the public company Ljubljanski potniški promet – LPP and the City of Ljubljana.
