Project eol, public call to promoters
The City of Ljubljana published (announced) a public call to promoters to submit an Expression of Interest in operating a public-private partnership project of the energy retrofit and the energy management services in public buildings of the City of Ljubljana in line with the principles of the energy saving contracting for the first group of public buildings, which includes schools, kindergartens and city theatre.

Eno tree planting day
Within the International Peace Day, on 21 September, 35 elementary schools in Ljubljana organised by the Jože Moškrič Elementary School have participated in an international project ENO TREE PLANTING DAY.

Local elections 2014
On 5 October 2014, Ljubljana held the elections for the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana and Ljubljana City Council members. The current Mayor Zoran Janković was elected already in the first round with 57.5 % of all the votes.

Donation of russian books to slovanska library
On 13 October 2014, the Slovanska Library, a department of the Ljubljana City Library, received a large book donation of 300 newly released books in Russian language.

Ljubljana castle receives crystal triglav
The Ljubljana Castle Public Institute is the recipient of the Crystal Triglav, an award for the highest achievements in Slovenian tourism, as selected by FIJET Slovenia – the Association of Slovenian Travel Journalists at the 14th Days of Slovenian Tourism event.

New features on visit ljubljana
A unified on-line sales and booking system with diverse organised tourist experiences started to operate on the Visit Ljubljana website. There is also a search engine for prices of accommodation that was established in cooperation with the Hotels Combined portal which provides price comparison of the world's leading booking systems.
