Defibrillators save lives
The City of Ljubljana has equipped different locations throughout the city with 43 automated external defibrillators – portable electronic devices that can diagnose cardiac arrests and are able to restart the heart with an electrical surge.

Top 50 Photos
Until 14 September 2014 the Ljubljana Castle will hold the “National Geographic – Top 50 Photos” exhibition which showcases the best photos of all time as selected by the editors of National Geographic.

New ribja brv footbridge
On Sunday, 6 July 2014, the wooden footbridge Ribja Brv connecting the embankments of Hribarjevo Nabrežje and Cankarjevo Nabrežje was removed. The foundations for a new footbridge began immediately and will be completed in middle of August.

On 3 July 2014 a round table was held in the City Hall which was organized by the City of Ljubljana upon the release of a new booklet from the Ljubljana – a Healthy City series, entitled Socially Friendly Ljubljana.

Tour of age-friendly louth province
On 3 and 4 July 2014 the town of Dundalk in Ireland held the first workshop of the AFE-INNOVNET project where they presented best practices of the Louth province in the field of age-friendly environments.

New methane buses
On 3 July 2014 the public transport company presented 10 new environment-friendly articulated city buses running on methane. The company thus continues with its strategy of environment- and passenger-friendly public transport.
