Ljubljana celebrates
Again this year, Ljubljana marked 9 May, the city holiday, with the traditional march on the Path along the Wire and the triples run. On the holiday, we also presented the highest recognitions of the City of Ljubljana, with the Honorary Citizen titles at the top.

High recognition for the public-private partnership project of energy renovation of buildings
We received the second prize at the prestigious global forum of the United Nations in Athens (UNECE International Public-Private Partnerships Forum) for the public-private partnership project of energy renovation of buildings owned by the City of Ljubljana (Energy Renovation of Ljubljana).

DIGGIT Gold Award for Ljubljana Tourism
At this year's DIGGIT competition, Ljubljana Tourism received the gold award for achievements in the field of digital communications in the tourism category.

International rescue dogs exercise has been successfully completed
Again this year, Ljubljana held the traditional, already 23rd International Rescue Dog Exercise Ljubljana 2023, in which 250 participants from five countries took part.

We have opened a new park at Ljubhospic House
On the open day of the Ljubhospic House, 25 May 2023, we opened the new Hradecki Park with a walking ramp, which is designed to offer a retreat into nature for both the inhabitants of the house and their visitors as well as all other surrounding residents and visitors.

Ljubljana is the Best European City for Short Breaks
Ljubljana is the recipient of the prestigious title of the Best European City for Short Breaks, which is awarded by the organization European Best Destinations, a leading online travel portal dedicated to promoting culture and tourism in Europe.

World Art Nouveau Day 2023
June 2023, with World Art Nouveau Day, which is celebrated on 10 June, we will hold several admission-free events, from lectures and guided tours to walks through Art Nouveau Ljubljana.

Already the 15th June in Ljubljana festival
Again this year, the summer in Ljubljana is opening with the traditional June in Ljubljana festival, which will be held at Congress Square from 7 to 21 June 2023. The festival will feature over 40 events, all of them admission-free.

Multiple communities, one fight
Traditionally, cities around the world put on rainbow colours in June. On Saturday, 17 June 2023, the traditional Pride March will take place on the streets of Ljubljana, and the exhibition International Queer Solidarity: Images of Perseverance and Hope will be on display in the City Hall from Wednesday, 7 June 2023.
