Ljubljana among the most sustainable destinations in the world for the seventh time already
For the seventh year in a row, Ljubljana was included in the Global TOP 100 Sustainable Destinations list, thus retaining the title of one of the hundred most sustainable destinations in the world. This year's list includes destinations from 34 countries. We are also the only city in the world to receive this title for the seventh time.

Tourism Ljubljana among the most innovative in the world
Tourism Ljubljana has been included in the list of the most innovative organizations in the field of tourism in 2021, which are successfully tackling the consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic and are looking for new approaches for faster recovery and more environmentally and socially friendly tourism.

Declaration of Free Cities
Mayor Zoran Janković signed the declaration of the Pact of Free Cities, pledging to promote, in his capacity as Mayor, values such as freedom, human dignity, democracy, equality, the rule of law, social justice, tolerance and cultural diversity.

Handmade paper products made out of invasive alien plants

RVT condition for visitors to the premises of the City of Ljubljana
In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, from Wednesday, 15 September 2021, the RVT condition (recovered, vaccinated or tested) will also apply to all visitors to the premises of the City of Ljubljana.

Stumbling stones – in remembrance and admonition
On 9 September 2021, we placed seven new stumbling stones in Ljubljana, dedicated to the Jewish citizens of Ljubljana and their relatives, who were taken to various concentration camps across Europe.
