Ljubljana: beloved awarded
Ljubljana's promotional video Ljubljana: Beloved received the 3rd prize in the category of promotional films in the main competition program of the renowned Portuguese Finisterra Arrábida Film Art & Tourism Festival. Within the thematic categories it also won 2nd place in the Travelling category and 3rd place in the Destinations category.

European doctor of year
Dr Antonija Poplas Susič, a doctor, a specialised general practitioner, and the medical director of the Ljubljana Health Centre, has received the flattering title of the "Five Star Doctor 2014" awarded by Wonca Europe, the World Organization of Family Doctors in Europe.

17 may – international day against homophobia and transphobia
17 May is marked the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia. On this day, in 1990, the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. The City Hall hangs a rainbow flag, the symbol of the LGBT community, on this day.
